Repeat Prescriptions
Your medication can be collected from Manor Pharmacy, Wheathampstead, and you will not have to wait while your medicines are dispensed. All you need to do is register with Manor Pharmacy and they will arrange everything directly with your GP.
When requiring repeat medication complete the computer print-out and hand it in to the Manor Pharmacy for collection (allowing 48 hours). Alternatively, telephone Manor Pharmacy to tell them which medicines you need Tel. 01582 832102.
Repeat requests can be handed in to the surgery but please clearly mark them for collection by Manor Pharmacy. Do not ring the surgery for repeat prescriptions.

Non-NHS Services
Some aspects of health care are only available privately, for example, medical examination for travel, employment or sporting activities, a report for legal or school purposes, etc. If they fall outside the NHS remit a fee may be payable. Similarly, some travel vaccinations, the completion of forms for private medical insurance claims (eg for referrals and x-rays) and certain other items, will attract a fee. A full list is displayed in the waiting room.
Management of Common Ailments
Ways to keep healthy. Pick up the latest copy of the Village Surgery booklet which give helpful information on a variety of common ailments.
Many conditions get better on their own or with only simple measures being taken. Your pharmacist can help with these and advise medicines you can buy over the counter for successful home treatment. If concerned, consult your doctor, go to hospital casualty or telephone l1234 326099 for emergencies when the surgery is closed.
